Research Connections is sponsored by The Office of the Vice President for Research, K-State Innovation Partners, and the Kansas State University Foundation. This special day is important to us because we love to be involved with interdisciplinary collaborations through our Interdisciplinary Research Grant and share our engagement with the community through our research and many projects. Pictured are Dr. Mary Kohn and Dr. Valerie Padilla Carroll. Dr. Carroll works with the "Hungry Heartland" team, the recipients of our 2022 Interdisciplinary Research Grant funding. We are proud to help support the Hungry Heartland Project, which focuses on investigating and voicing food accessibility issues of Kansans in both rural and urban settings known as “food deserts.”
